The Hebrew Letters featured in this painting are Tav Vav Hey Vav, TOHU, Vav Beit Vav Hey Vav, VEVOHU. This phrase is usually translated as EMPTY and VOID. In modern Hebrew it means CHAOS. Since these words are not repeated in Biblical literature, or in any extant writings of the time, it is not possible to know conclusively what they mean. Perhaps they can be interpreted as FULL OF POTENTIAL.
