HADAR is from the Hebrew, meaning BEAUTIFUL, ORNAMENTED, HONORED, SPLENDOR, GLORY, CITRUS FRUIT, TO HONOR, TO RESPECT (Kolatch, Alfred J. 1984. The Complete Dictionary of English and Hebrew First Names, Middle Village: Jonathan David. 128).
Hebrew Bible sources - Hadar was a son of Ishmael, and brother of Nebajoth, Kedar, Adbeel, Mibsam, Mishma, Dumah, Massa, Hadar, [Hadad], Jethur, Naphish, and Kedemah (Genesis 25:13-15).
Hadar was a husband of Mehetabel, son-in-law of Matred, king of Edom with his capital in the city of Pau (Genesis 36:39).
Talmud -If one sees citron [hadar] in his dream, he is honoured [hadur] in the sight of his Maker, since it says: The fruit of citrons [goodly trees] branches of palm-trees (Leviticus 23:40, Berachot 57a).
