Hebrew Bible source - The menorah, the seven-branched candelabrum that once stood in the Holy Temple, is the most enduring symbol of Judaism, tracing its origins back to the ‘Mishkan,’ the portable sanctuary in the wilderness. More than nay other Jewish symbol, it represents the continuity of the tradition linking the generations from Moses to our own day.
