The Hebrew word for ARK is TEVAH, Tav Beit Hey. This word is used only one other time in Torah, when Moses as a baby, was thrown upon the Nile in a basket. The basket is the TEVAH.
The Hebrew word TEVAH means WORD. God gives Noah directions concerning the building of the Ark. In Genesis 6:16 God tells him to make 3 decks and a roof. The word used for ROOF here...
